Since 1890, Bodegas y Viñedos Pascual Toso remains faithful to its principles: authenticity and innovation.

Pascual Toso was born on October 24, 1859 into a family in Canale D’Alba, a small Italian town. From his parents he learned agriculture and how to manage vineyards.

In the mid-1880s, when he began his journey to Argentina, he could not imagine that he would become the founder of one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in the country.

Upon arrival, he settled in Mendoza. Having been closely involved in wine development with his family in Piedmont, he was immediately able to identify the region’s promising future for winemaking and he decided to apply his knowledge and develop vineyards for his own wines.

Thus, in 1890, Pascual Toso established his first winery in San José, Guaymallén, and at the beginning of the 20th century, he decided to expand his business by acquiring new vineyards in Maipú. On his farm he built another winery, “Las Barrancas” (which means ‘Small Canyon’), dedicated to the production and cultivation of the best grapes.

Today, Pascual Toso continues to make premium quality wines to the highest standards. In 2016, the winery was awarded the Best Argentine Producer Trophy at the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) in London, which reflected the commitment to winemaking knowledge that this Winery has, which is one of the reasons why Pascual Toso wines have achieved international recognition and prestige.
